Birth Procedures

Many procedures are carried out on infants who are hours old without parents knowing. Some examples are vaccination, taking blood for testing, putting silver nitrate into the eyes and giving the baby vitamin k injections. Parents have the right to know what is being done to their child. Hospitals should not just carry out these procedures without the parents knowing and if deciding if each procedure is right for their child.
